Because the scarcity of forest resources and technological inovation, wood-based panels are more widely used in home decoration.The common materials for furniture panel could be divided into different types.
Fiberboard
It is the board made of wood fiber or other plant fiber as raw material, with urea formaldehyde resin or other applicable adhesives. According to its density, it is divided into HDF(high density board), MDF(medium density board)and LDF(low density board). In furniture producing, fiberboard is a good material for manufacturing furniture.
Melamine board
Melamine board, it’s full name is melamine paper faced board. It is widely used for furniture including cabinet,kitchen,wardrobe,table and so on.It is made of melamine paper with different colors or textures such as white,solid color,wood grain and marble texture.Melamine paper is covered on the surface of MDF(medium density fiberboard),PB(particle board),plywood,LSB.
Plywood
Plywood, also known as fine core board,which is made of three or more layers of one-millimeter thick veneer or sheet adhesive,made by hot pressing method. It is the most commonly used wood-based panels for furniture.The thickness usually could be divided into 3mm,5mm,9mm,12mm,15 and 18mm.
Particle board
Particle board is using wood scraps as the main raw material, and then add glue and additives,made by hot pressing method.The main advantage of particle board is the cheap price.
